HP Technology for Teaching Grant Initiative
Deadline: Feb 15, 2007
Who: Teams of 5 teachers from a K-12 public school in the U.S.
What: Grants of a package of HP technology hardware and professional development as well as a small stipend, total valued at least $30,000 at market price. Each teacher receives: tablet PC, digital camers, projector, digital camer and scanner/printer/fax combo. There are full details and listings of previous winners at the grant site.

NEA Foundation Student Achievement Grants
Deadline: Ongoing, three times per year
Who: Public school teachers or support professionals Pre-K-12, and faculty or staff of public colleges or universities
What: Grants of $5000 to be awarded to “improve the academic achievement of students in U.S. public schools and public higher education institutions in any subject area(s). The proposed work should engage students in critical thinking and problem solving that deepen their knowledge of standards-based subject matter. The work should also improve students’ habits of inquiry, self-directed learning, and critical reflection.” See their site for more information.
