FAQ: Contributing Ideas to TeachersFirst

TF seems to have very practical ideas.
I have some more suggestions. How can I get them on the site?

Members can contribute in different ways. If your suggestion is for a way to use a certain resource, please click Comment on this resource from a resource listing and tell others how you used it. You can also share successes and tips in the First Stop blog in the Teachers Share area, an place where teachers can share problems and solutions. If you have a web resource to suggest (and practical ideas for how to use it), please suggest it as a resource. We particularly welcome tried-and-true ideas from teachers in the trenches.

I think some of your resources are great, while another has some real drawbacks. Whom can I tell?

We welcome member comments on any resource. As you read the review on any listing page, you will see the link to Comment on this resource. Just click it and enter your comment, pro or con. If the resource is objectionable and really should be removed immediately, feel free to also contact the webmaster.

Do you hire teacher-contributors to TeachersFirst?

TeachersFirst is staffed by many practicing and experienced teachers. One way to demonstrate your expertise as a potential team-member is to comment on resources, suggest resources, and contribute to sharing areas. If you wish to be considered as a potential paid contributor, we suggest that you first make several contributions as a member, then send a letter and resume to us. Be sure to include your TeachersFirst screen name as a way for us to see some sample contributions. We do request that such inquiries be made by “snail mail” to avoid clogging the site with personal communication.
