What About the British?
The British were also used to carrying lots of equipment with them. This officer's tent has a bed, several trunks, even a rug! Having lots of equipment was useful, but it also meant that moving from one place to another took a lot of time and energy.

Soldiers
had to carry everything they needed with them. Powder horns, candles, bags of
musket balls, and other equipment were important to each soldier's survival.
