Chapter Twenty-Nine - Discussion Activity

Harry meets with Professor McGonagall in this chapter to discuss his future occupation. If you could have any career in the magical world, what would you want to do? Get together with a group of three or four other students. In small groups, share with each other which career you think you would want to pursue. Be sure to explain why you chose that job.

Additional Discussion for Middle School

After discussing your chosen magical activity, compare your magical career with the career you are currently interested in. Which job seems more exciting to you? Do the two jobs have any similarities (do both involve law inforcement? Do both involve working with animals, etc).
