For A Day Like Sweet Clara's, you will need:

10 bags of cotton balls
10 large needle type dog brushes
1 old sock per child- with holes
3 ball of yarn for darning and weaving
6 - 7 large darning needles for use with yarn
2 old blankets
8 brooms and old rags for cleaning
7 gallons of water-unopened
3 laundry baskets

For Sun and Shadow, you will need:

Flash lights
Sun and Shadow Group Observation Pages

For Tilt and Turn (Day 2 of Sun and Shadow), you will need:

1 lamp without a shade, extension cord if necessary
1 globe - tape a cut out of a 3" White Human Shape to surface of ball marking in the place where you live. This will be easy for the students to see against the globe's background.

For Sun Safety, you will need:

A Piece of Large White Paper
Masking tape
A Yard Stick
8" Square of Cardboard - punch a hole with a small nail in the center
Chair
A Mirror
A Very Clear Sunny Day
Markers to record and draw observations

For Sun Dial Observations, you will need:

Brightly colored chalk
Unifix Cubes
An area of open space that can be drawn on and remain undisturbed throughout the day, such as the play yard or parking lot

For Moon Pattern Observations, you will need:

Flashlights - 1 for each 3 children
Volley ball or light colored ball
