This site provides highlights of current research on ADHD, and provides references to specific scientific studies. Most interesting for teachers maybe the tab at the top titled "Start." Slide down to ADDA Resources and find "ADHD Education." There are many articles for help with adult ADHD, too. Find webinars, a directory of ADHD professionals, support groups, workshops and much more.

In the Classroom

Share this article with co-teachers who are dealing with a student that has ADHD. Teachers can share this article with parents in a discussion of ADHD, if there is a need for more understanding or treatment options. At the very least, this article is a great way to better understand ADHD and how it affects a child in the classroom.

A well-organized site with loads of information for the classroom. The center of the site is the Handbook, which is divided into three categories: teacher support, getting organized, and classroom strategies. Each category has information for elementary and secondary grade levels. The Handbook is partnered with Field Notes, verbatim interviews with teachers and students that offer insight into different aspects of inclusion. There is also a "Feedback" discussion section where teachers can ask specific questions or join the listserv. Of course, the site also includes a list of helpful links. A definite must-visit site for any teacher working on inclusion!
