Question of the Week Archives

Question:

Everyone seems to be jockeying for position to gain some of the federal stimulus money. If you were allocating the stimulus money for education in YOUR school, how would you spend it to generate the best "bang for the buck" in terms of student learning?

Professional Development - the most underfunding part of education, and the most needed. Every teacher, new to the profession or been there for decades, can benefit from good, viable, usable professional development.

I would spend it on updating the school library collection, replacing books that are wearing out and buying titles that the students would want to read.
