Chapter Five - Research/Interview Activity

In this chapter, Harry is upset because he hasn’t received the “Outstanding” grade on his O.W.L. potions exam that he must have to become an auror. For this task, interview three adults and ask them about their jobs. Questions you might consider are: What type of education does your job require? Did you have to take a licensing exam to be certified to have your job? Did you have to take lessons? How many years did your education/training take? Did you go to college? Did you go to graduate school? Do you have to do any type of continuing education in order to keep their job? What is your favorite thing about your job? What is your least favorite thing about your job? If you could change to any other job, what would it be?

Try to interview people who have different types of jobs. Which of the people you interviewed do you think had the most interesting occupation?
