Sign up for Art to Go monthly email that contains a printable full-color image of an artwork at the Baltimore Museum of Art. Have you been trying to incorporate different sources into your social studies content? Use the content areas found in this collection. In gifted classrooms, use these activities for choice enrichment activities to deepen content knowledge. Use the artwork to inspire a narrative or informative writing prompt. Art classes have immediate lesson plans. Use it as a quick lesson in case of a sub. When going on a trip to your local museum, begin by investigating the content found in the Baltimore Museum of Art. Assign students the opportunity to uncover the mystery of artwork in your own museum to increase interest and motivation during your visit. In Pieces is an interactive exhibition of 30 of the world's most interesting but unfortunately endangered species, portrayed through fragmented geometric art. Each species has a dedicated page with an animation and a brief, informative description highlighting its danger and the need for conservation. This artistic website aims to raise awareness about endangered species and illustrate how people can help with conservation. Each animal has statistics, a video, and a link to ways to help. The videos are housed in YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, the videos may not be viewable. Be sure to view the linked resources to ensure they are appropriate for your students.

In the Classroom
This resource would be great in art, math, or science. Download the images and have students use a drawing program to cut out shapes or use pattern blocks to replicate the downloaded image. Use this site in math class to enhance your statistics unit. The information is shown in various ways and provides students with a real-world connection on how statistics can be used to communicate information. Have students research a different endangered animal not shown and create a statistic presentation. In science, use this site to engage students in a unit on conservation. Choose a character, select a color palette, fine-tune details such as facial expressions and background, and finish by choosing a favorite pose. Use anime to engage students in many topics by creating anime-style images with this resource. Spark creativity in writing projects by creating and displaying portraits with several moods, then ask students to create a story that accompanies the featured images. Share the images with students and ask them to include them on their story document created using Microsoft Word or Google Docs. Extend learning by allowing students to include anime images as part of comic strip stories created using a comic creation tool like ToonyTool, reviewed here. Create comics that tell the steps and outcomes of science experiments, describe Japanese landmarks, or retell folk tales. It's a good idea to require students to create a rough draft of their comic using Printable Comic Strip Templates, reviewed here. Adobe Firefly uses generative AI (artificial intelligence) and simple prompts to create images, text effects, and color palettes fueled by your imagination. Visit Firefly's Gallery for inspiration, or begin your journey by selecting from several options. Options include text-to-image, generative fill, text effects, regenerative color, 3D-to-image, and text-to-vector. Additional options are in Beta. After choosing an option and signing in to your account, follow the directions to add a prompt with what you wish to create. Use Firefly's filters and editing options to select one of the generated images and fine-tune it to your desired appearance. When satisfied with your creation, select the "more options" icon to download, copy, or copy the link to your image or save images to your library for later access.

Use Firefly to create images for many different classroom uses to engage students and extend learning. Use the text effects feature to create text to teach letters or words.
