Create charts in several formats using Livegap Chart creator; no registration required. First, select a form to enter data manually or from a spreadsheet to begin. Next, customize colors, text, font, and more to personalize the look and design of your content. When finished, save your chart as an image, as an animation on a web page, download a video file, or save online and share the link for others to view. Although registration isn't required, it offers you the opportunity to save charts for later use.

tag(s): charts and graphs (168), data (145)

In the Classroom

Save this handy chart creation tool in your bookmarks and on student computers for various classroom uses. Enter data on the site, then demonstrate how to represent the information through multiple formats and representations. Collect data in your classroom and quickly create a graph to express it, then choose another design to share the data in another way. Share your charts by adding links or uploading images to blogs, wikis, or websites--share graphs on an interactive whiteboard or projector for better data analysis by the class. Graph results of a test, answers from students, favorite foods, fictitious budgets, class schedules, and anything applicable in your classroom. Use an informational text, and have students create a pie chart to understand how to read charts accompanying the nonfiction texts. Have cooperative learning groups create graphs to share with your class. Create quick pie charts on your interactive whiteboard whenever you count class votes or encounter other data so students "see" data visualized regularly; visual students will have another way to absorb the information. Keep the link handy on your web page for you and your students to access it quickly in or out of class.

Share Glorify and a couple of other graphic design tools such as Canva Edu, reviewed here, and Genially, reviewed here, with students to provide options for creating and including information on presentations. Enhance learning by asking students to create short tutorials for using the features in Glorify using a screen recording tool such as Free Screen Recorder Online, reviewed here. Share the tutorials on your class playlist created on YouTube, reviewed here, or as a link on your class webpage. In the younger grades, teachers would create projects; however, older students can easily create their own Glorify presentations. Have students use this online tool as they would any presentation tool or image enhancing site. Use this site for research projects about famous people from the past and present. Have cooperative learning groups create presentations about science or math topics. Have students create presentations to "introduce" themselves to the class during the first week of school. Once you understand why hexagons help develop understanding through connections and interactions with shared information, this generator will become one of your favorite tools for classroom use! Learn more about classrooms uses for hexagons at this blog post written by the site's creator. Print the blank hexagons for use when developing units of study as a visual representation of connections to teaching during the study. Ask students to complete and connect hexagons when preparing research papers or as a guide for studying for upcoming tests and quizzes. Replace a timeline with hexagons to connect events and dates, use colors to code information by location, time, or important people. Include a link to a hexagon worksheet when preparing blended learning or remote learning lessons. For example, create a complete guided learning activity using Curipod, reviewed here, that includes videos, quizzes, and a hexagon activity. Have students create their hexagon presentations within a Google Document using the insert shape feature and select hexagon. Copy and paste, then add hexagons to customize by changing colors adding text and images to share information. In addition, customize wheels for creative story writing prompts that include options for random characters, setting, and story theme. Use this tool to practice math facts by creating wheels that prompt players to solve math problems based upon a spin of the wheel. Engage students when reviewing for upcoming quizzes and tests by creating wheels to check facts. For example, in social studies, create one wheel with names and another with characteristics such as date, place, important event, other characters involved, etc. Use during math lessons on probability to have students record outcomes when spinning the wheel.

Use Edia to create, share, and differentiate math practice questions with students. Create practice sheets for students on the fly as you assess understanding of concepts or review previously learned material. If parents ask for additional support for their students, create individual practice on the necessary skills. Some of Edia's explanations may take a different approach than methods taught in your classroom, use this to your advantage and ask students to share different methods for approaching problems. Ask students to share their approaches using a screen recording tool such as Free Screen Recorder Online, reviewed here, or with Flip, reviewed here, as a video response that includes use of the included whiteboard tool.

Bookmark and save this brain teaser site to use throughout the school year. Share a problem of the week with your students to complete as homework or during a work center. Provide teasers of different levels of difficulty to differentiate and challenge your students. Enhance student learning by asking them to explain their success in solving challenges and sharing their process to find the correct solution. Use Flip, reviewed here, to share your weekly teasers, then have students create and share a video response. Ask students to use the tools on Flip such as the whiteboard, stickers, and text to explain their responses in detail. Extend learning further by creating a class book using Imagine Forest, reviewed here. Use Imagine Forest to make and share a digital book of brain teasers. Use the interactive elements to add links to audio suggestions for tackling problems or link to video solutions on the final pages of your book.
