Printable Comic Strip Templates

Great for all grades, this site offers several different comic strip templates to choose from with various numbers of panels and squares or arch tops. Click on any template to view and print the PDF version. Create a group class comic in younger grades.

Grades K-12

Witty Comics

Design a comic with dialogue between two characters. There are pre-drawn backgrounds and characters. Add a title for each scene/page, add dialogue between the two characters. Create three-page comics quickly and easily. Save the comic with registration.

Grades 4-12

Stripgenerator

Easily create simple cartoon strips. The drag-and-drop interface makes it easy to add frames, characters, balloons for speech text, and other items as you build a strip. Students can work independently or in pairs and share by URL or on your site.

Pixton Lesson Plans

Find lesson plans at this site, connected to the Pixton Comics site. Search by subject or keyword to find a particular topic. Each lesson plan includes a teacher guide, rubric, standards, and suggestions for how to use the comics.

Grades 2-7

Marvin and Milo

Learn simple physics through cartoons, with new additions offered monthly. Use the drop-down menu to view countless past experiments. In addition to the cartoons, each activity includes a list of materials, instructions, and results with an explanation.

Grades 9-12

Stick Figure Hamlet

Engage your students with comic visuals and images related to the classic work of Shakespeare. Each act and scene is represented. Simply start at the beginning to view all cartoons or choose any act or scene desired. Have students create their own comics.

Grades 6-12

Dr. Seuss Went to War

Seuss shows his serious side in this collection of over 400 political cartoons related to World War II. Each cartoon includes full citation and copyright information. The collection is sorted by year and by battle, people, places, and issues.
