This site, launched in beta format in Feb, 2007, features extensive resources for science teachers at all levels. By joining the site for free, you can access both free and paid content, including journal articles, free web seminars for teachers, and more. Of particular interest are the "science objects," 1-2 hour interactive simulation-based learning experiences for TEACHERS to enhance their understanding of science concepts. You access these and put them in your "shopping cart" as if online shopping. Some content is not free, but all is clearly labeled.
In the ClassroomUse this site for your own professional development or access some of the free Science Guides: complete, standards-based units with integrated web resources, rubrics, and complete plans. You may have to explore this site for awhile to really see how extensive it is.
