Lincoln Lesson Idea: The Measure of a Man Level
- Elementary Objectives: Students will measure what makes a great leader by interviewing friends and family. Activity: Have students interview random people at school or home about what they think of Abraham Lincoln. What made him one of our nation’s greatest leaders? What could our new administration learn from Lincoln? Publish responses and photos of the people interviewed throughout the month of February on a class blog or website. Tips: You may want to list this activity on your class website prior to assigning so parents have time to contact distant relatives to participate in the interview!
