These activities include printable templates, step-by-step craft instructions, and creative ideas to make personalized gifts and decorations. Some crafts have explanation videos that are hosted on YouTube. If your district blocks YouTube, then they may not be viewable.

Choose from any of the crafts to create Mother's Day gifts. While the focus is Mother's Day, these crafts can be utilized in any subject area as a way for students to demonstrate their knowledge. Use Book Creator, reviewed here, to have students create interactive e-books that include stories, poems, and crafts for Mother's Day. You can then share the e-books with families. Many of the templates are PDFs. Have students upload them to a program like Canva Edu, reviewed here and they can type or draw on the PDFs. Then, share them electronically or print them out and to be displayed in the classroom. Incorporate math by having the students create pixel art using the cross-stitch activity.

Pear Practice is a gamified learning experience that promotes collaborative learning and independent practice using tools provided by Pear Deck, reviewed here. Use Pear Practice to create learning experiences or choose from the large selection of activities in the practice sets. When creating a set, Pear Practice allows members to create multiple-choice, fill-in-the-blank, drawing, and drag-and-drop questions. Once a practice set is chosen, create an assignment for individual practice or start a live practice by choosing one of the game mode options. Options within live practice activities allow educators to set time limits for questions, allow guest students not in Pear Deck classrooms, and create random groups. Students join activities using the unique code or by sharing a link. When sharing as an assignment, specify a start and ending date and assign an accuracy goal for students to achieve. Students can retake the assignment as often as needed to meet the accuracy goal. Many activities in Pear Practice's public library correlate to Common Core Standards.

Type the problem into the chat, upload a picture (word and number problems), or scan the problem with your phone. After defining the problem, Sizzle leads users through each step before sharing the next step to complete. Answer each step in the chat, ask to see choices, or reveal the next step. When viewing options for solving each step, Sizzle provides tips for correct solutions if the incorrect response is chosen. While registration is optional, creating an account allows users to access their history of solved problems. Sizzle is available online and as an app from Apple and Google Play.

Introduce 3 Act Math into any math classroom as an engaging way for students to develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills. The map defaults to lessons for first grade; use the options on the left side of the main page or in the title section of the map near the starting point to change to other grade levels, beginning with kindergarten through sixth grade. Each lesson includes animated videos that explain math concepts and interactive activities for students that allow students to collect stars. To find exercises on specific content, use the Open list view on the main page to see all available lessons for each grade level, including themes for each assignment and the location on the map where the activity occurs. Lessons are available in English and Spanish. Use the provided link to find additional information and suggestions for using the site for parents and teachers.

Twee offers a selection of artificial intelligence (AI) tools designed with English teachers in mind. Create a free account to access the many resources that work with video, interact with text, develop vocabulary, provide grammar practice, and more. Twee's video tools work with YouTube reviewed here to create questions based on the video's content, create summaries of the video, and suggest warm-up questions for use before watching videos. Additional tools provide options to create various assessments, topics for discussion, and homework ideas. After selecting a tool, follow the prompts to make your activity. Some of Twee's tools offer the option to create text from an image, including turning a screenshot of a text page into text to use with the chosen resource. Copy the completed activities into any document to share with students or save as a PDF.

Skew the Script provides AP Statistics and Algebra 1 and 2 free Creative Commons-based math lessons. The lessons are created using math in relevant contexts, such as the cost of college, the economic viability of electric cars, and how much income social influences make. Each lesson includes links to supporting materials, including videos, handouts, slide presentations, and alignment to standards and/or textbooks. Although registration isn't required to access all of the site's materials, it is recommended to allow unlimited access to all materials.

Claude is an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot that serves many purposes, such as summarizing and analyzing information, translating text and data, and creating ideas and responses to text. One useful feature in Claude is adding up to five files in PDF, txt, CSV, and other formats. Begin by creating an account using your email address or Google account. Enter your message in the chat box, and Claude will respond based on your input. Use the option to regenerate the request if you want to see different answers, or use the chat box to type in clarifying information to improve the response. View your chat history below the message box and click any chat to review the reply. Use the drop box with the message's title to rename the chat or delete it from your history. Always verify any information provided by ChatGPT before using it. Claude is an evolving tool, and many features regularly change (or upgrade).

Use this resource to improve productivity by asking it to create quizzes, rubrics, lesson plans, and more. Because Claude includes the option to add files, increase productivity further by attaching a worksheet and asking it to modify the content to differentiate learning or to suggest ideas for presenting the content in a different format. Be sure to ask for information as precisely as possible by including grade-level information, the subject you teach, content standards and teaching objectives, and options for differentiating instruction. Math teachers can ask Claude to explain the content differently or ask for ideas on applying math topics to everyday life. In social studies or science, ask Claude to generate a vocabulary list or create a story based on your lessons incorporating essential vocabulary terms. ELA teachers might use Claude to get suggestions for interventions to support struggling readers or to find additional resources to support current lessons. Always verify any information provided by ChatGPT before using it. STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) is a necessary component of all classrooms today. As educators, we need to find ways to reach all students and help them better understand STEM topics. In this session, we'll share a few STEM activities for educators with limited tech options and those who are simply looking for a no- or low-tech STEM lesson. We'll also reflect on the activity suggestions and discuss possible management concerns that arise when working in cooperative groups. As a result of this session, teachers will: 1. Explore no-tech and low-tech STEM activities; 2. Understand the engineering design process; and 3. Plan for the integration of no- and low-tech STEM activities in the classroom. This session is appropriate for teachers at all technology levels.
