Schedule your tweets to send at any time with Twuffer. This Twitter management tool allows users to write tweets then schedule them to go out at a later date. Just create an account and click to schedule a tweet. Include any links or images as desired and select a date and time. Once you select "schedule," your tweet will be posted at your desired time. If you make a mistake, delete any scheduled tweets anytime before they post. The free version of Twuffer allows up to 50 scheduled tweets per month.

Class123 is a classroom management tool containing several features for organizing classrooms and communicating with students and parents. Tools include a timer, seating chart, attendance manager, random name picker, and more. Sign up for free to add your rosters and avatars. Parents and students sign up with a code provided. Once enrolled, members receive or send communications privately or within groups. Please be aware that Class123 falls under the FERPA laws for "directory information" and "educational records." Any school getting funds from the Department of Education (public schools) is required to disclose to parents and get written consent to use Class123 with their child. Use this tool easily in your Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) classroom since all students will be able to access it for free, no matter what device they have. Users need the basic understanding of how to create using this tool. Work together on your interactive whiteboard to create a class video before assigning to students. Collabrify Suite is a set of five mobile apps for use in elementary and middle school collaborative learning situations. The apps include a spreadsheet, word processor, KWL tool, whiteboard, and a mind mapping tool. Two or more students work together using their own devices to collaborate on any project either face to face or from a distance. In addition to the apps, Collabrify Suite also offers a few starter activities, called Roadmaps for download. Apps use Google logins and work best in Chrome, Firefox, and Safari browsers. PingPong is a free app creating an interactive network between a host and responders. Log in and create an account to begin, then share the room code with participants. Ask participants to share a response choosing from five different options: multiple choice questions with four or five choices, true/false, send text, or send an image. View responses in real-time as participants submit answers. PingPong is different from many other response systems because the host doesn't enter the questions and responses into the app.

Add tags to any item to unify and organize information. Upcoming features include images, calendars, and maps. Be sure to go into Beyondpad's Demo Mode for hands-on practice with all of the site's features. Beyondpad also includes apps for Chrome, Windows, and Firefox. Create a class account to organize information into one easy to access place. Spell out the use of the site and what is allowed and not allowed -- and the penalties. Even though all students have the same login, create different notebooks for different tasks that students can use to upload information to be shared by all. Create separate accounts for student groups who can then share their notebook with other groups. Use tags to easily find and identify specific information. Create checklists of steps in a project. Place all notes in one place, so you do not forget. Use this tool easily in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) classroom since all students will be able to access it for free, no matter what device they have. It may take some time to learn all of Beyondpad's many features, start by adding basic information and find out more as you begin to use this tool.

Use this service to backup your videos from YouTube and other sites. Use to download and save videos at home that you wish to show to students, especially if the school or district blocks them. Users must be able to find, copy, and paste the URL of the video to be downloaded. Once the program starts, you will be prompted to save it. If you want to use the video at school, you would save it to a USB stick. No registration or login is required. This should primarily be a teacher resource. If using with students, discuss appropriate and inappropriate uses of the technology as well as choosing necessary videos.

This recording of an OK2Ask online professional development session from February 2017, opens in Adobe Connect. Google Sites is a powerful and easy to use tool to create a variety of websites. In this session, participants will explore the basics of setting up a classroom or student Google Site. This will include pages for a welcome message, calendar, files, links, pictures, announcements (blog) page, and more. Easily move your current information to Google Sites, begin your own Site, or learn what Google Sites is all about. Remember, it's OK2Ask'®. This session is for teachers at INTERMEDIATE technology comfort levels. As a result of this session teachers will: (1) Identify the basic pages and features in Google Sites; (2) Become familiar with the tools for creating a Site of their own; and (3) Explore the possible uses of Google Sites in the classroom or with their students.

OpenStax offers free access to high-quality textbooks in core subject areas. View resources by subject, including humanities and AP options. View books online or download in PDF format. The search options in the online viewer allow users to locate content easily in the digital format.

In the Classroom

Use OpenStax textbooks to dig deeper into core subjects such as math, science, and social studies. Use materials to differentiate instruction based on student abilities and interests. If your current textbooks are older, find newer books on OpenStax and adopt them for your curriculum. Take advantage of the search feature of online books to find supplemental material for your current instruction. Find teaching materials for gifted students using OpenStax textbooks.
 This resource requires PDF reader software like Adobe Acrobat.

Just as the title implies, this site converts text to speech. Enter any text up to 4000 characters, select a voice and speed, name the file, then choose "Start." After processing, click play to listen or choose from download options as an mp3 or wav file.

In the Classroom

Type or copy and paste what you'd like to hear into the Text 2 Speech box. Use speed options to slow down speech for ESL/ELL students. Mark this site on your teacher web page for your ESL/ELL students to hear something read or pronounced both in an outside of class. Use Text 2 Speech with students who have difficulty reading, especially when working with more difficult passages and text.
