Enlighten AI is a free grading and feedback site that allows teachers to give specific, actionable, and timely feedback to their students. The data collected can also be used to drive instruction with summary reports. Enlighten AI will also create rubrics, or teachers can use their own rubrics. Rubrics created can be quick rubrics that just give the total points or more advanced ones. All rubrics can be edited, duplicated, and archived, as well as reusable past rubrics. Feedback to students can be given individually or in bulk via a PDF or email. For Enlighten AI to generate your teaching approach to feedback, teachers will have to provide feedback and responses in the first assignments created, and Enlighten AI will adapt to teachers' grading styles and feedback. Enlighten Al can support grading for Google Documents submitted via Google Classroom, and teachers can also send assignments via Enlighten AI by having students sign in via a code or link. Enlighten AI is available in Spanish.

After watching a ClickView math video, present students with real-world problems related to the video's content. Have them work in pairs or small groups to solve the problems using the concepts they learned. Host a "Math Video Showcase" where students present math tutorial videos they made to the class, allowing for peer feedback and discussion. After viewing a video about art techniques or historical art movements, students can create their own artwork using the methods discussed. Following a ClickView science video, organize a hands-on experiment related to the video's content. For example, if the video discusses ecosystems, students can create mini-ecosystems in a jar. After watching a video on a literary topic or a story, have students create their own short stories or scripts incorporating themes, characters, or settings from the video. Share the stories using a digital storytelling tool such as Book Creator, reviewed here.

When complete, Owler AI explains the score received, suggestions for improvement, and follow-up questions that can be shared using the provided link. As always, when using AI tools, it is important to remember that they aid teachers; however, they don't replace personalized teacher feedback.

MirrorTalk uses AI as a partner to create and share meaningful opportunities for cognitive and emotional reflection in any classroom. It is also an assessment tool that can help develop continuing learning growth. The AI features thoughtful questions that guide participants through a reflective process using personalized prompts. After creating an account, create a group by adding a group name and grade level, and define how students access the activity. Access options include student login, name only without email, or open access without a name; however, video is required. Additional options offer video or audio and presentation in English or Spanish. Set up reflections by adding your objective and the type of focus to use, such as depth of knowledge, problem-solving, and others. Share the prompts with students using the assignment link. As students respond, your dashboard on MirrorTalk updates with charts that provide feedback on student responses and suggestions for supporting each student in their learning process.

MirrorTalk can be used in many ways to support student learning and reflection. Begin the school year with a prompt that encourages students to reflect on the previous school year and set goals for the new year. Create prompts as exit tickets for students to reflect on the day's lesson and as a formative assessment for you to modify upcoming lessons as needed. Use this tool as part of a retrieval practice strategy to encourage students to recall facts about new concepts learned in class. Learn more about retrieval practice by watching the archived OK2Ask: 3 Cool Tools for Retrieval Practice, reviewed here and by visiting this blog post, Using Retrieval Practice to Boost Student Learning, found here.

For example, differentiate text easily to fit the abilities of all students, generate a list of engaging activities for any topic, or quickly create a worksheet or multiple choice quiz as a formative assessment. As students engage in chats with historical figures or choose your own adventure activities, ask them to use the information learned as a starting point for additional research. Use Symbaloo, reviewed here or another curation tool to collect and share additional resources with students, such as videos, online articles, and book suggestions. As a final extended learning activity, ask students to share their learning using Sway, reviewed here, Genially, reviewed here, or Adobe Creative Cloud Express, reviewed here to create multimedia presentations. This tool would also be great to share with gifted students. As always, use best practices when sharing AI tools with students.
